People have a strong connection with nature and with the world around them. Sometimes moods change as the weather changes or when you eat certain foods because your body knows what you need and what you are putting into it.
The body is made of a lot of the elements, especially water and that helps us to connect with the universe.
Connecting with the Universe
Ayurvedic traditions tell you that the elements of water, earth, fire, air and earth make up everything around you. The elements work with your body and outside of your body. We are all our own person and have our own personality and this will depend on how we interact with the universe. The way that you create time to spend with the world around you can help you to see who you are and what you are made of.
The connection that you have with the elements helps you to learn from nature and who you are. You can look at moments through your life and see what elements were there. When it is hot out, you see that you want to do things such as swim or when the air is warm, you want to find a way to cool down or you sweat. The fire element shows you that you want to be warm and that you have strong energy towards the warmth. Some people like to burn candles because of this.
Being mindful in your life can help you to be strong and not to get overwhelmed. Fire can come and it is an element that helps you to create balance when you have water. As you understand balance of elements, you will see that they bring peace and harmony to you.
Knowing the Water Element
As you get too hot in your life, water can help. You can use it to balance yourself and to cool down. Water is one of the things that come naturally because 70% of your body is made of water. It allows you to connect with the universe and to have a natural force that brings you peace.
Water is powerful and it helps you by taking on different forms of solid, liquid and gas. It lets life go in any degree. You can let water come into your hands and fall out of your fingers or you can hold a snowball. You see water all around you.
You can reach water no matter what you do, and you can even use yoga to explore water and how it plays in your life. As you do yoga, you will see that it offers you a way to adapt to the world around you. Life can be expressed through your connection of water and as you breathe, it allows the Prana or life-force energy to fill you.
One lesson that you can learn in life is to balance your learning and your life. You can learn and be strong, but you can also have grace when you mess up. You can be a different person and take on a different shape, just like water. This allows you to be what you need to be. You can reach inside of yourself, or you can reach outside of yourself. Learn your lessons in all you do.
Changing in Life
Look at your past and the things that you have struggled with. As you have moved forward in your life you have seen that you brought forth change. Water changes. You can change just like water does. You can have strength in who you are, and you can make it through changes.
Life will help you to move on your journey. You will face challenges and there will be obstacles that come. You might see water flowing slow and this might relate to how your life goes slow on its path. As you learn to adapt, you will see that you can work through any kind of obstacle.
Imagining Water
Take time to do these things:
- Pay attention to your breathing. Close your eyes and imagine the world around you.
- Be aware as you breathe and imagine how free it is moving through you just like how water moves freely in a river.
- Notice how you breathe and how the world around you is natural.
- Be aware to what you are feeling and how you are sending your breath out into the world.
- Let your breath be free and have no obstacles.
- Allow yourself to change and to adapt.
You will always face imbalance in the world, but you are able to overcome these things. The world will change you and you will face obstacles. When you have an obstacle though you can have opportunity. Water will take different forms and so will you. As you become strong, you will change, and you will have grace with who you are.
As you see the elements in your life, you will see that they can help to bring peace and balance into your life.
